Clyde Carroll
Chambers Ireland
Clyde Carroll is the chairman of the advisory board of NEO Ireland and is one of the founder members. In his busy day job, Clyde is the Manager of Events and Commercial Patrnerships with Chambers Ireland where he is responsible for planning and managing all of Chambers events as well as maintaining current and future commercial partnerships. Clyde has over 12 years experience working within the events industry. Before joining Chambers Ireland, he was the Senior Account Manager with Bravo! Group, one of Ireland's leading communication and event consultancies. Clyde's client portfolio at Bravo! included KPMG, AIB, Bank of Ireland, Bord Gais, Budget Travel, Aer Lingus, Premier Golf (official travel operator for the US PGA) and Ericsson. His position involved every element of the event management process from inception to execution - creating concepts, writing proposals, budgeting, dealing with all types of vendors/suppliers, and finally running the event and co-ordinating large numbers of event staff. Clyde is one of the founders of NEO Ireland, the Network for Event Organisers in Ireland and is the chairman of our Advisory Board for the second consecutive year. In addition he lectures with the Fitzwilliam Institute on event management to both the Event Management and Public Relations diploma courses.
Sarah Carroll, Eventznet.ie and the Centre for Excellence in Events Sarah Carroll is founder and managing director of Eventznet.ie, the experts in getting events onto the net. Eventznet is a web based system for marketing and managing events, and for integrating online payment with event registration. Eventznet allows Sarah to combine her primary skills in marketing and event organisation with her passion for inventing and realising software products since she founded the company in 2002. Sarah and her team at Eventznet are fanatical about ensuring a smooth and trouble free experience for their customers and their events. Sarah is evangelical about how the internet can help to market any event in a measurable and cost-effective manner. In mid-2005 she also founded NEO Ireland - the Network for Event Organisers in Ireland. In 2007, Sarah led the application process for funding for the Events Industry Skillnet through Skillnets Ltd, under the national training plan. The Events Industry Skillnet was successful in securing funding of almost .5 million euros over 2 years (2008/2009) for subsidised training and networking for the industry. The Events Industry Skillnet is administered by the new Centre for Excellence in Events.
Terry Harmer, NLC Training Terry Harmer had worked with a number of leading national and international companies until 1998 when he established NLC Training. Terry manages the Irish Management Institute (IMI) distance learning programme and is a licensed practitioner in Neuro Linguistic Programming. Terry is an energetic and thought provoking trainer whose approach encourages participants to discover their true potential. He is a Member of the Institute of Training & Development (MIITD), a Fellow of the Sales Institute of Ireland, (FSII), a Member of the Marketing Institute of Ireland, (MMII) and a Licensed Practitioner of NLP, (NLP Prac.). He holds a BSc. in Business Administration and a Certificate in Training & Continuing Education. Terry is also an assessor for the Excellence Through People programme.
Caitlin O'Connor, Networth Caitlin is founder and director of Accelerating Performance, with extensive experience in the area of organisational development at strategic, operational and tactical levels. Before launching Accelerating Performance, Caitlin has held senior executive positions in private and public sector. Her career started with Aer Lingus where Caitlin worked across a number of divisions from retail sales, customer relations, business planning and market planning. In addition Caitlin was instrumental in the launch of Esat Clear. Caitlin also held the position as Global Product Marketing Director with Point Information Systems as well as senior roles with Nevada.tele.com and Irish Broadband. Caitlin brings a unique brand of energy, know-how and passion to her work. Her experience ranges from dealing with high performance teams across the leisure, tourism and travel industry to working with different cultures in IT and telecommunications. This energy and enthusiasm is infectious and certainly has a long lasting sustainable advantage to those Caitlin mentor's, coaches and trains. Education has always been a central point of Caitlin's life. Caitlin holds Dip LBCAI, Dip Project Management UCC, Dip Direct Marketing (IDMA) and Graduateship in Marketing (MII) allied with a Certificate in Training from NUI Maynooth.
Michael Nolan, iQuest Michael is the founder and managing director of iQuest - a leading Irish conference and exhibition company formed in 2001. iQuest's portfolio of events includes The Sunday Business Post Property Expo, The National Health Summit, The National Waste Summit and the newest jewel in its crown The Family Show.

Michael has a wealth of experience in the events industry having held senior management positions with one of the world's leading conference and exhibition companies, Terrapinn.
At various times he held the positions of managing director of Terrapinn's businesses in Mexico, New Zealand, Australia and Europe. Most recently, Michael is a past chief executive of The Irish Direct Marketing Association.
Outside of iQuest, Michael is passionate about Arsenal football club and his golf. He plays off a 5 handicap, which might sound pretty impressive but according to his colleagues is actually pretty lame considering the amount he plays.
Ellen Gunning, the Irish Academy of PR Ellen Gunning MA, MIAPR, FPRII, NUJ, joined the board of Dublin City fm in November 2006. She is the director of Elton Communications and the Irish Academy of Public Relations, the largest provider of public relations education in the country.She has served as a Government appointed director to the boards of the National Concert Hall and the Central Council of the Irish Red Cross. Ellen was a Forbairt Mentor for a number of years. She holds an honours MA in Communications and Cultural Studies from Dublin City University, and was conferred with a fellowship of the Public Relations Institute of Ireland in Janurary 2007.Ellen is the author of 'Public Relations - A Practical Approach' which was published by Gill and Macmillan in April 2003. Her book is the core text, nationwide, for all students studying Public Relations in Ireland.She begins her second term as National Chairperson (Ireland) of the International Public Relations Association (IPRA).
Sammy Leslie, Castle Leslie Sammy Leslie is the proprietor of Castle Leslie, and the woman responsible for turning an almost delapidated family home into a thriving, succesfull business venture which is now regularly filled with the people, fun, laughter and life she set out to fill it with. The fifth of the family of six children of Desmond Leslie, who took over the running of Castle Leslie from the fourth baronet, Sir John (Jack), Sammy really took the reins in 1991. She famously sold her father's car for 5,000 pounds and got matching cash from the County Enterprise Board to set up the Castle Leslie Tea Rooms. Her story is one full of temerity, guts, taking chances and sheer determination. Castle Leslie is now an estate of magnificent proportions, with a conference centre, a village, summer homes and the amazing Castle itself.
