***NEW***Radio Presenters Course
This year we have introduced a One-Day Radio Presenters course.
If you want to be a radio presenter – or a shock jock – or a drive-time interviewer – then this is the course for you. Maybe you are interested in having your own radio show, or working as a presenter, or doing ‘guest/relief’ work on radio? Well, this is the course that will teach you the skills. Read more.....
***NEW*** TV Presenters course
If you are looking for a job in an office, you need a CV. If you are looking for a job in television, you need a showreel.
This new TV presenter’s course is taught over 8 weeks on Saturday mornings. It is taught in studios at City Channel TV in Sandyford. You will be learning in a real television studio environment.
You will learn a variety of presenting skills from continuity announcing to reading the news: from interviewing in studio to presenting in an MTV style. At the end of the course, you graduate with your own showreel, highlighting each of the different styles you have learned. Read more....
***NEW***Diploma in Sports Event Management and taught PR and Journalism Certificate courses around the country.
Its that time of the year when people start to look towards the winter, contemplate the long evenings and think about doing some course of study.
Three of the Academy’s courses are taught by colleges throughout the country.
The brand new Diploma in Sports Event Management will be taught in Carrick on Shannon. Throughout the country, our Public Relations and Journalism Certificate courses are taught by Community Schools and Colleges and VECs. Check out the details to find your nearest course......
Distance Learning and Corporate Training Options

If you are in a part of the country where there is no college offering our courses, or if you feel that attending one evening per week does not suit you, you can always study by distance learning.
From the time you enrol on a distance-learning course, you are nominated a tutor – someone who works in the industry. That person (a journalist, PR consultant or event manager) grades each of your responses and offers advice and guidance as you proceed through the course. It is, in effect, one-to-one mentoring.
There are four distance-learning options: Certificate in Public Relations, Certificate in Journalism, Certificate in Grammar and Diploma in Event Management.
And lets not forget the Corporate Training Options. The start of autumn always sees companies and organisations reviewing their training options for the coming months.
The Academy designs training courses which are specifically targeted to a company’s needs. Our courses are of interest, relevant, teach a skill, impart a new way of thinking, encourage interaction, are industry specific and always deliver to their target. Our customers feel that they achieve value for money any time we provide training for them.
Remember too that we come to you. It doesn’t matter where in the country you are located, the Academy will provide the training course in your offices or town. You don’t travel to us ---------- we come to you. Read more.....
